We are told that Fujitsu uses sequential serial numbers and does not code the manufacture date into them; however, we strongly suspect they do in fact encode the manufacture year within the letter prefixes of the serial number. We have not yet been able to confirm this, determine the pattern, or determine if they skip any letters of the alphabet.
If you have good photos of Fujitsu data plates, please send them to us with any and all other known pertinent information (installation history, bill of sale, maintenance history, property age, etc.) for our continued research into their serial numbering system.
